August 24, 2022: This weekend, August 26 to 28, 3TC/Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) will be performing signal testing near Floral Park and a host of other work along the corridor as crews prepare to commission the second block of third track around Mineola station, resulting in a Main Line outage. Please be advised that some residents in the immediate vicinity will experience disruptions due to the invasive nature of this work. This outage will cause significant changes to service along the Port Jefferson/Huntington, Oyster Bay, Ronkonkoma branches.
Most of the heavy track work that is occurring this weekend will be between Main Street in Mineola and Cherry Lane in Carle Place. This will involve several different types of work as crews get ready to both commission this next section of third track and also install concrete ties in the area.
